At Mandico Cattle Company, we breed Highland cattle built to last.  Our registered Highlands are recognized for their longevity, calm disposition, sound confirmation, and capacity to improve herd profitability.  Breeders across New England and in states as far away as Texas and the mid-South-have selected our cattle for these proven traits.  Highands have been the heart of our farm since 2008.

Resources

We are proud members of the American Highland Cattle Association where you will find excellent resources.

Check out this great informational article highlighting the attributes of the Highland breed.

Beef for Sale

Highland Cattle are known for a modern beef carcass with lean, well-marbled, flesh that ensures tenderness and succulence with a very distinctive flavor. Highland beef is healthy and nutritious with lower levels of fat and cholesterol and a higher protein and iron content than other beef.

Our Highlands produce top quality meat and we enlist a processer to custom cut and package for our customers.

Livestock for Sale

We have a variety of options for your farm, including bred cows, yearlings and heifers.

We also offer hides and horns.

All of our livestock are purebred and AHCA registered. Please contact us for breeding records and pedigrees.

Mandico Molly (55,383)

Born June 26, 2013 she is now our oldest brood cow and is one of the original calves born on the farm.  This yellow cow is nothing special to look at, but she earned her Impact Dam status and still today at 12 years old breeds back easily and continues to raise a calf.  She has certainly earned her keep at our farm.

Mandico Jenny (55,313)

Jenny is a large, deep-bodied yellow brood cow out of Oxbow Juliette and Black Watch Angus.  She is the boss of the hay feeder, a great mother, and the queen of the pasture. She was flushed this past spring with embryos out of STR Ruthless Game (#53128). Her only fault, really, is her tendency to calve with only males.

Mandico Rita (55,261)

One of our favorite cows is Mandico Rita who became a tv star this past year.  She was honored to be on the HGTV show "Farmhouse Fixer" (Season 3, Episode 3).  But she is also a star on our farm and raises big bodied offspring with great feet and legs just like her. This brindle cow’s pedigree goes back to the Baker's Cube Mountain herd in western New Hampshire.

Mandico Marcy (57,037)

Marcy is an easy-going, no frills, easy-keeper yellow cow.  She does what Highlands do best – breeds back on time, calve, and raise great offspring.  She is due in April 2026 with a heifer out of Ceannard 2nd of Stockley.

Mandico Rhona (57,038)

Rhona is beautiful black brood cow out of Who's Hill Uig + Baker's Cube Mtn Rori, one of our foundation cows. She is due to calve in April 2026 with a heifer out of Ceannard 2nd of Stockley.

Mandico Rachel (58,465)

A spitting image of her dam Mandico Rita in every way, Rachel also shares in the HGTV fame.  To see the two of these in the pasture, we need to look at their ear tags to tell them apart. Both Rita and Rachel continue to have a strong influence on our breeding program with great confirmation and beautiful udders. She will be one of the first cows to greet you when you come to the pasture.

STR Dalton prof.JPG

Our current herd sire is STR Dalton (64,461). This young bull is a handsome red guy, with solid confirmation. He has now proven himself with 9 calves growing up next to him.  Semen is available from Star Lake Farms.
